As a Doctor of Chiropractic, Dr. Maura Timm, DC has years of training and experience in Applied Kinesiology and Vector Point Cranial Therapy.

Corrective Exercises

We teach our patients special "blueprint" exercises designed for neuromuscular re-education and to help strengthen muscles and correct their own unique problem. These exercises can be performed in the comfort of your own home and can improve the effectiveness of your spinal correction by as much as 30-40%. In addition to skeletal misalignment, muscles and connective tissues can be out of place or strained by improper alignment and use. Specific exercises and stretches can help your body stay in balance and in health.

Lifestyle Advice

We often find it helpful to "coach" our patients on certain activities they should avoid or do differently to avoid aggravating their particular health challenge. Our goal is to help every patient achieve a fulfilling and happy lifestyle full of the activities they enjoy most. We recognize that each our patient is a whole person, and help them reach true health and wellness is a collaborate effort between our professionals and our patients.

Nutritional Assessment

We provide specific recommendations on nutritional supplements and healthy food choices to enhance our patient´s return to optimal health. Do you know which supplements and vitamins are good for you? Your body depends on chemical reactions to create mental and physical energy, define your moods, store and retrieve memories, run your digestive, immune, and reproductive systems, and just about everything else you do.

Dr. Maura Timm, DC can provide a structured nutritional program based on your individual needs. She will determine what your body needs more or less of and will guide you in making positive changes to your diet, directing you to effective supplements when necessary.

Sports Injury Therapy

Applied Kinesiology is ideal when it comes down to sports injuries. With this technique, we can assess and correct the joints as well as the muscles in the injured areas, speeding up the recovery time. In addition to focusing on the injured areas, we will balance the entire body and may support it with nutritional supplementation in order to help the body heal, minimize future injuries, and achieve optimum health. 

Allergy/Food Testing

Symptoms associated with food intolerance include: bloating, diarrhea, comstipation, frequent infections, anxiety, depression, irritability, muscle and joint aches, arthritis, asthma, acne, eczema, hives, itching, skin rashes, water retention, headaches, migraines, rhinitis (sneezing, itching, running nose, nasal congestion, or postnasal drip), weight gain, and fatigue.

At Hetrick Chiropractic we can determine functional imbalances such as allergies (sensitivities), organ dysfunction, candida (overgrowth of common intestinal yeast), hypoglycemia (blood sugar problems), digestive disturbances, and nutritional deficiencies.  We then get the patient on an appropriate program to help overcome the problem.

 Salivary Hormone Testing

Hetrick Chiropractic provides access to one of the most advanced laboratories with regards to salivary hormone testing. Diagnos-Techs was the first lab in the United States to implement salivary-based hormone assessment into routine clinical practice. Many hormones can be assessed through salivary testing such as adrenal/thyroid hormones and male/female hormones.

We now have the Foot Levelers Associate Platinum to create a digital image of your feet that shows your weight distribution on each foot and indicates imbalances or weaknesses.
